101 Pink Iguanas in Galapagos   Leave a comment

Investigators of the Galapagos National Park and the University of  Tor Vergata de Roma traveled to Wolf Volcano on Isabela Island in order to study the newly discovered “pink iguana”.   The team found, tagged and took blood samples from 101 iguanas (of which 55 where male).  In addition the team confirmed that the pink iguana population  is not as threatened as previous thought.
